GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

All rates we quote are, of course, subject to availability and alteration. All special offers quoted are limited and subject to availability, and may be subject to a minimum stay.

While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information, Abbeygate Townhouse cannot accept liability for any errors or omissions and we reserve the right to change information and descriptions of listed guesthouse and products and to amend manifest error in the quoted or booked rates.

ONLINE BOOKINGS

Once your booking is made, you will receive an reservation number via email. Please ensure you have this when you are checking into. This will be needed to print your key card from the Kiosk. We offer a self-check in process only.

In the event that you have to cancel your reservation, you will need your confirmation reference number, as well as the email address used to make the reservation. Please read the cancellation policy below for more information on this. 

PRE-AUTHORISATION 

Pre-authorisation of a major credit card or debit card is required upon check-in. This will done via the kiosk and will be voided provided no damages are caused to the room. The guesthouse reserves the right to charge the card for any damages caused to the guesthouse and any noise complaints we receive which may result in compensation to other guests.

GROUP BOOKINGS

When booking 3 rooms or more different payment and cancellation policies will apply.For more details contact the guesthouse directly. 

VAT & TAXES

Reservations are subject to prevailing VAT rates applicable during the provision of the service. Therefore, if the prevailing VAT rate changes, the rate for the services provided during the stay will be subject to the new greater or lesser VAT rate as applicable. 

NON-PERFORMANCE

If, for reasons beyond the guesthouse reasonable control, including, but not limited to, strikes, labour disputes, acts, regulations or orders of governmental authorities, civil disorder, disaster, acts of war, acts of God, fires, flood or other emergency conditions, or due to any delay in necessary and essential repairs of the guesthouse, the guesthouse is unable to perform its obligations under this agreement, the non-performance is excused and the guesthouse may terminate the original agreement without further liability of any nature. In no event shall the guesthouse be liable for consequential damages of any nature, for any reason whatsoever.

GUARANTEED RESERVATIONS

Credit card details are taken at the time of booking for guarantee purposes. By securing your online reservation with a credit card, your room is guaranteed until midnight on the day of arrival, after which the room is released and may be resold. All reservations made on www.abbeygatetownhouse.ie must be guaranteed with a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners). In the case of a no show, your credit card will be charged for one night’s accommodation. 

ADVANCED PURCHASE RATE

When booking an Advance Purchase Rate your credit card will be charged for the entire stay at the time of booking and the charge is completely non-refundable. A cancellation or change will result in forfeit of the amount charged.

PACKAGES

All packages are available at Abbeygate Townhouse, subject to room availability. If you book a Stay Longer package and check out early, you will be charged for the full stay.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations must be made within the cancellation period signified on the reservation confirmation. If notice of cancellation is not received by the required date, the guesthouse will charge one night’s accommodation. Please note that some rates (e.g. Advance Purchase, Last Minute Rates and other specials) are non-refundable and in the event of a no show, the full charge of the reservation is taken from your credit card.Reservations made on standard rate plan must be cancelled 48hrs prior to the 3PM check in time of your arrival. 

For group bookings of 3 or more rooms, a cancellation policy of 10 day’s notice is required.

All promotional offers are subject to specific terms, conditions and restrictions listed on the specific webpage. All promotional offers are subject to availability.
